1. Would Earth Science help a student to prepare for ICP?
The main way it would help the student is by teaching them how to use the course (taking notes, doing review questions, exams, etc.) and learning the structure and platform of our courses. This should be a great benefit before going into ICP.
2. Approximately what percentage of the concepts or content in Earth Science would be revisited in ICP or others of your high school courses?
There would be zero content from Earth Science repeated in ICP or any of our other science courses.
3. I also see that your ideal course sequence suggests Earth Science in 7th grade (if student is in pre-algebra or above) and then Earth Science again as an alternative to Physics (or second year of Physics). Our intent was not to say that the student SHOULD take Earth Science twice. Some students take it in 7th grade and others may take it for high school credit during high school. Another option would be for the student to work slowly through the first two quarters in 7th grade, and then to take the entire course in high school.
4. Do you sometimes have students take the Earth Science course twice?
Most of our students do not take the course twice. They certainly do not need to do it twice. These are just options.
