FAQ: Do I need a Family Grading Subscription?

Not it is not necessary. 90% of parents do not use the Family Grading Account. You would only need the Family Grading subscription if you want to easily view the grades and course work of all your enrolled children with one login, change grades, and reset assignments.  

However, unless there is a technical issue, we don't recommend retaking assignments or changing grades.  If that happens, parents can request a grade change or reset and we will change it for you.

Instead of buying the Family Grading, you can login using your student's login view your student grades and course work. If you want a grade change or reset, simply use the form on the Course Home page and we are happy to change them for you. 

After your child completes the course, you can add extra points to the final grade by using the Simplified Grading Method. Please see "Extra Credit"  in the Teacher Guide for your course. Without the Family grading, you would not be able to change the grade in the course, but that's okay because once your course expires, everything disappears anyways.
