The Timed Method: Frustration Free Learning! This method was developed by Dr. Shormann over 30 years of teaching math. Students work on math 4-5 days per week for no more than a specific time (depending on age). At the end of this time, regardless of how much of the lesson is completed, the student should stop and pick up where he left off the next day. This allows the student to learn at their own pace, giving them time to slow down as needed to re-learn forgotten concepts or to grasp a new concept. This self-paced method is the most efficient way to learn math without overwhelming or frustrating the student. Learn More: Fluency
- A Biblical & Historical Foundation Teaches the "Why" Behind Math Concepts: Built on a biblical and historical foundation, Shormann teaches math as the language of science; a tool used to better understand God and His creation. An emphasis on math history gives students a clearer picture of the "why" behind the math they are learning while shedding light on modern math's rich Christian heritage. Students learn to use math as a tool to explore their world and enhance their own God-given creativity.
