Shormann Math courses teach the foundational principles of consumer and business math like how to calculate sales tax, interest, debts, loans, and more. While it does not specifically teach how to balance a check book or fill out a tax return, it does have a lot of real world application.
Students should not take a break between Shormann Math courses to do consumer or business math as this will negatively affect fluency, which makes learning the math in the next course much harder and slower.
However, students can take consumer or business math along with their Shormann Math course or take them after they complete their Shormann Math courses.
