How to Quickly Fill Gaps in Shormann Math

If the student has NOT been watching Dr. Shormann's video explanations linked under the grade at the top of the Results page, they have developed gaps that make learning math harder and slower.  How to Relearn Missed Problems

Have them follow these steps to quickly fill in the gaps created by skipping this critical step.

  1. If the student is consistently earning 75 or less on Practice Sets, stop here and follow these steps instead: Remediation Plan 
      

  2. Remember to always use The Timed Method: Frustration Free Math.
      

  3. Open the course and select the "Grades" tab at the top of the page.
      

  4. Select the Practice Set that is 5 lessons back. If there is a pencil icon under the grade, have the student retake the Practice Set, then skip to step 5. If there is no pencil, continue with step 4. 
      

  5. Click the name of the assignment then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Review" under "Attempt 1".  For detailed instructions see:  How to view Results Pages in the New Site
      

  6. For each missed problem, follow the steps on Relearn Missed Problems.
     
     

  7. Repeat steps 3-5 for each remaining Practice Set. 
      

  8. After completing the steps above, resume the course normally. 

  9. Supervise the student for the first few weeks to ensure they understand and follow the steps on the Instruction Sheets for each assignment type that are linked on page 1 of the Teacher Guide.
