DIVE Earth Science does not have textbook reading assignments. All the required reading content is built into the course: digital terms and definitions flashcards, digital facts practice quizzes, video lectures, printable notes, video labs, and lab activity pages.
To provide middle schoolers with a developmentally appropriate transition from a textbook based curriculum to a lecture based course, Dr. Shormann strongly recommends against adding textbook reading assignments. However, if the student wants to learn more about a specific topic in the course, a list of optional books and videos by lesson is provided in the DIVE Earth Science Teacher's Guide.
