While completing all assignments in the eLearning course (online) is the most efficient way for students to learn, there are two options for using Shormann Math offline. Learn More: How does the eLearning format make learning faster and easier?
Option 1: The Hybrid Method
This method uses the eLearning course but allows students to complete the Practice Sets offline. Then, they login to the eLearning course to enter their answers for grading and to take advantage of the eLearning tools, like the Help links, instant feedback, lesson reference links, and video solutions that make learning math much more efficient. This method is not as efficient as the eLearning course. Learn More: The Hybrid Method
Option 2: Traditional Curriculum Sets - All Offline
This option is completely offline. Learn More: Offline Curriculum Sets
If you have slow internet, or are concerned about your student guessing, please read below.
Slow Internet Speed?
High-speed internet is not required. The course will work even on a dial-up or satelite connection. Regardless of your internet speed, we recommend following the Computer & Device Setup instructions, then at least try to use the eLearning system. If you have trouble, contact support@diveintomath.com
Concerned About Guessing?
If you supervise your student to ensure they understand and follow the course instructions and check to make sure they are solving problems before entering their answers, there is no need to worry about guessing or cheating. If needed, the practice sets can be completed offline: Hybrid Method
Video Lessons
The lesson videos are hosted in the eLearning course and optimized to play on slow, dial-up, or satellite connections.
Practice Sets (Daily Homework)
We recommend completing the Practice Sets in the eLearning course as they have “Help Links”, auto-grading with instant feedback, grade recording and other tools that make building fluency faster and easier.
Video Solutions
In the eLearning course (online) the video solutions can only be seen after the practice set has been submitted and the grade is recorded. For each missed problem students should watch the video solution and solve it correctly on paper.
