To develop and maintain fluency (speed and accuracy) in the essential skills that make learning the concepts in the new course much easier, Dr. Shormann recommends the following:
Student Completed Saxon Math 5/4-8/7
-
Option 1: Retake the last 10 tests and corresponding Facts Practice Tests
- Option 2: Complete the first 30 lessons of the next Saxon course and use the corresponding DIVE Video Lessons for your course. How Does DIVE make Saxon Math faster and easier?
Student Completed Shormann Pre-Algebra
Retake the following assignments. Please note: If there is a grade in the gradebook*, retaking Quizzes will not affect the original grade nor the Final grade. For Facts Practices, if you get a higher grade than the one currently in the gradebook, it will replace the current grade in the gradebook. However, Facts Practices are only 5% of the grade so it won't have much, if any, affect on the Final grade. If you prefer, use the flashcards to study the Facts Practices.

Student Completed a Different Math Course
If the last math course has taken was not a Saxon or Shormann Math course, Dr. Shormann recommends using the prep course, posted on the Live Class syllabus for your class. If there is no prep course for your course, repeat the last 15 assignments in the curriculum your student used.
