When can I use a Calculator in Shormann Math?

For Pre-Algebra, you can use a calculator on questions designated with a (C).

Students may use calculators in Algebra 1-Calculus 2. However, Dr. Shormann cautions them to be wise in choosing when to use a calculator. And sometimes he will specifically tell them not to use a calculator, for things like basic arithmetic with simple fractions and decimals, or to practice for "no calculator" sections on standardized tests like CLEP and AP.
