These students should take the PSAT in 10th grade as practice and again in 11th grade when it counts for the National Merit Scholar Program, which is one of the most prestigious and lucrative scholarship available. If they completed Algebra 2 in 8th grade, then take Precalculus in 9th grade, Calculus 1 in 10th grade, Calculus 2 in 11th grade, the student can take the AP Calculus BC exam at the end of 11th grade. Which means they can submit their exam scores with their admissions and scholarship application.
