Regardless of what curriculum was used or what grade the student made in 3rd grade, we recommend the following*:
Depending on the severity of the disability, the general recommendation is to go down one or two grade levels. Therefore, Saxon 2 or Saxon 3 is recommended.
Moving down one grade level allows students to build fluency which makes learning math faster and easier. However, DIVE Video Lessons are not available for this title. No placement test needed.
*Saxon Math placement in K-7 is developmental, not skill based. The first 30 lessons have all the review needed to prepare the student for the remaining lessons. However, it is critical that you use the The Timed Method: Frustration Free Math
