Strong, Gifted, & Average Math Students:
If your student successfully completed any publisher's Algebra 2 AND Geometry , strong and good math students should be ready for Shormann Precalculus with Trigonometry. Take this placement test to verify readiness: Precalculus Placement Test
Reluctant & Struggling Math Students:
Because non- Saxon courses do not integrate algebra nor do they use continual review, they have not built fluency in the skills that are required to learn precalculus. While a strong or good math student can use the review section in Shormann Precalculus to develop fluency in the skills needed to learn precalculus, struggling and reluctant math students can't. We recommend these students take Shormann Algebra 2 with Integrated Geometry to develop fluency in both the algebra and geometry skills needed for precalculus as well as learn all the concepts required for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and the College Algebra CLEP exam which earns 3 college credits.
