Math Placement for a Strong or Gifted Math Student in Sixth Grade

These students can try to move ahead one grade level by taking the placement test linked below or stay on grade level.  The advantage to moving ahead one grade level is the student can take the AP Calculus AB & BC exams at the end of 11th grade and submit their scores with their college admissions and scholarship applications. A passing score on these exams can significantly boost these applications in the selection process. AP Exams

• Option 1: Shormann Pre-Algebra (7th Grade)
  Gifted students can try to move ahead one grade level by taking the Placement Test for Pre-Algebra
  
  .       If Pre-Algebra is taken in 6th grade, what is taken in 12th grade?
   
• Option 2: Saxon 7/6 4th Ed + DIVE Video Lessons (6th Grade)
  This is our standard recommendation for 6th graders. No placement test needed.
   
• Option 3: Successfully Completed Pre-Algebra
  These students may be ready for Shormann Algebra 1 with Integrated Geometry To be sure, take this Placement Test.
